Three Essex Juniors Reach Telegraph Championship Final at Quinta do Lago!
The Justin Rose Telegraph Junior Championship begins in the plush environs of Quinta Do Lago today, with 12 boys and 12 girls competing for the two individual prizes in the 54-hole event known as “the junior major”.
The County are proud to announce that three of our members have made it to the final.
The defending Champion, Charlie Rusbridge from Colne Valley, Ethan Roos, member at Thorndon Park and Zoe Mclean-Tattan from Romford.

The boys’ defending champion returns to the Algarve. Charlie became French Boys’ champion in April and aims to secure the second of what he hopes will be a hat-trick of victories, at this event.
Zoe McLean-Tattan
Age: 17
Handicap: +2.7
Home course: Romford
Golfing hero: Nelly Koda
The University of Louisiana Monroe student led from the outset after a superb 69, which qualified her for these finals, to win the Flogas Irish Girls Open. Zoe finished third in the Irish Women’s and European Girls Team Championship.
Ethan Roos
Age: 17
Handicap: +2.1
Home course: Thorndon Park
Golfing hero: Gary Player.
Ethan had hip surgery in March but was back playing six weeks later. He won the prestigious Henry Cooper Masters and finished fourth in the English Amateur. He is fluent in Afrikaans and will attend the University of Tulsa next year.
