Essex Golf Union Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains how Essex Golf Union uses any personal information we collect about you. We understand that your privacy is important to you and we respect and value the privacy of everyone who provides personal data to us. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure your data is treated safely and securely.
What information do we collect about you?
We collect information about individuals when a child is accepted onto one of our junior coaching schemes, when you participate as a squad member in one of our County teams, when someone volunteers to act as an official on behalf of the Essex Golf Union or when you participate in one of our competitions. We also hold data relating to individuals who work on our behalf in the delivery of the services we provide.
The types of personal data we collect are:
Names, address, email address, home and/or mobile phone number, date of birth, bank account details, passport details for DBS checks, and driving licence details, in addition for minors we may also hold health records and parents/guardians contact details.
How will we use the information about you?
We collect information about you to administer your participation in our coaching schemes, competitions, county golf teams and manage your CONGU handicap, and, if you agree, to contact you with information we think may be of interest to you relating to golf activities.
If you are involved in our county teams or junior coaching schemes we may share your information with our county coaches.
Essex Golf Union will not share your information for marketing purposes with third parties without your express consent.
Marketing
We would like to send you information about events of ours and other golf related third parties which may be of interest to you. If you have consented to receive marketing information from us you have a right to opt out at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes or giving your information to third parties in the golf industry.
If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please contact the County Secretary on 01376 500998.
Access to your information and correction
You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some, or all of your personal information, please email or write to us at the following address, 2d Maldon Road, Witham, Essex CM8 2AB.
We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.
